PhD, RCC-ACS, CCS · Therapist and Approved Clinical Supervisor · Victoria, BC
Meg Kapil is an educational psychologist and therapist. Her view is that people heal and grow in a calm, respectful, collaborative relationship, and that is the kind of space she works to create. Her practice brings together trauma therapy, the science of learning and self-regulation, and a neurodiversity-affirming lens, so that care fits the whole person and not only a diagnosis.
Her doctoral research at the University of Victoria explored how stress, mental health, and self-regulated learning shape our ability to flourish. That research has been recognized with the BCACC Distinguished Professional Contribution to Applied Research Award in 2025 and the CCPA Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2025, among others.
Alongside her therapy practice, Meg teaches and supervises the next generation of therapists, including as an instructor for the BCACC Clinical Supervision Course, and she presents to schools, clinicians, and parents on stress regulation and flourishing.
The 3A Toolkit turns that research and clinical practice into three plain steps that anyone can use: Awareness, Assign a Label, and Action. The aim is to make stress regulation practical for everyday life, and to offer it in editions that suit different ages and settings, from adults to children to schools.
